We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United Arab EmiratesWe chose this hotel based on the location and photos of the room we booked. Room was nothing like the photos. One window was looking straight into the wall and there was an AC facility below producing a lot of noise.

United StatesI would have loved access to cold and hot water in the lobby area. Also a suggestion of food near. There is so much! With our limited time a few pointers would have helped. And there is one front desk staff, so they were often really busy, and we couldn't ask for pointers.
The hotel was classy, in an easy and great location. Comfortable beds, clean room. Helpful front desk staff. Lots of food nearby and coffee. Subway entrance on the block, little french bakery with great coffee across the street, startbucks reserve in the empire state building that is less than a block away, a toast food buffet that was awesome and easy walking distance Grand and Penn station.

United KingdomNoise. We expected the sounds of the city but there were also noises from A/C units on other buildings. However, after the first night it didn't bother us too much. Room didn't have a view but wasn't an issue as we didn't spend long in the room anyway. No coffee in rooms but places open around 08.00 and wasn't any trouble walking up the street to get one.
The hotel was very nice. The location was perfect. Close to lots of landmarks. Subway just at the end of the street, also another one a couple of blocks in the other direction. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice burger restaurant, coffee and cakes, and Irish bar directly opposite.

United KingdomThe shower took 20 minutes for hot water to come through. No Coffee or tea making facilities in the room, this may be a New York thing but when waking up at 4am jet lagged, coffee in the room would have been a huge bonus!
The bed was very comfortable and was ideal for a work trip. Great location for walking around and lots of places to eat and drink around the hotel. The staff at Gaia, joined to the hotel but not part of the hotel were fantastic, we had drinks here most nights and always had a really warm welcome.

United StatesOur only issue with the property was the bed. It was way too soft and we did not sleep well. We got stuck in grooves and the pillow top was too hot. Other than the bed, we enjoyed the hotel, but 3 nights of poor sleeping adds up.
Then location was perfect and the hotel was clean. The staff was very kind and accommodating.

SpainI arrived at the hotel at 3:30 and they told me that the room was ready but that check-in wasn't until 4pm and they wanted me to pay 70 euros extra to give me the room 30 minutes earlier. The receptionist's attitude that day was very grumpy.
