Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesA broken bed. It is super dated with very old carpet, cabinets, and a broken drawer on the dresser. No refrigerator (but you don't have the noise from it).
We had to move from the Hilton Garden Inn because their elevator did not work and it was taking forever to leave our floor. (We hiked down several times). I have stayed at the Manhattan before it is super dated from the 80's or 90's. The staff is very nice. The room was clean it is larger for a hotel in New York. The first room that they put us in the bed was broken and they had put pillows under the mattress to make it seem that it was fine. My husband finally got up and talked with the night manager at 2 am, who was very kind and promised to get us a new room the next day. The next room was better but still dated and the ice machine was broken. The elevators did work which is what we needed. The location is also what we needed. The breakfast if you want to add it is just a bagged one with a pastry, drink, and fruit.

United StatesHVAC cannot be changed between heat and AC. Big yikes when it fluctuates between 80° and 50°. HVAC unit cannot be used as just a fan either so the rooms feel warmer. Also, the rooms are DATED. The mattresses are WARN and blown out. For these prices, I’d expect something nicer. Spend the extra $20-$50 per night and stay somewhere nicer.
The location is perfect. The views from upper level rooms are great.

United StatesMy room had a faulty thermostat- it kept going to 72 degrees, despite multiple attempts to keep it at 68 or 65. That made for a terrible night of sleep as I was generally uncomfortable and kept getting up to adjust the thermostat. There was no water bottle in the room to make coffee with, and only 2 coffee pods for the keurig machine. It felt very minimal, but not in the best way.
Location was great. Room view as great, the overall decor was nice and the space was adequate.

United StatesRoom booked was a "Premium Two Queen" room (images looked modern and clean). The only rooms actually available were old, worn out, double rooms. Not the worst in the world, but far from the pics and description on the booking.com site. Definitely a bait and switch situation.

United KingdomThe WiFi was totally appalling. Terrible non-existent kept dropping out and when it did work it didn’t work completely. I couldn’t get any online work done whatsoever. I lost out on some business because I missed calls that could not be received. The pillows in the room were super uncomfortable . And my whole day there was parties going on at night and during the day people arguing constantly to the point I checked out one night early

SwitzerlandThe carpets look very old and ugly. We never trusted to touch it. And please DO NOT BOOK WITH BREAKFAST. There is no buffet at all. Only a small stand and then they give you 1 croissant and a coffe to go (or a small cake). No breakfast at all. This we felt scammed for the price. When you leave the hotel a lot of seller is waiting but this is normal in the center of timesquare.
Somehow everything is nice. Also the stuff.

United StatesThe hotel is very old. The rooms are extremely dated. The bathtub had a crack where the water went in so stepping on it was stepping onto a large "bubble" of water underneath the tub. Sink was rusted. It looked like they painted and caulked over the ugly parts to make it look decent. The AC was extremely old and noisy. From the outside the hotel looks nice but the inside was not great. Booking.com says it includes continental breakfast if you choose a particular rate but it is not, it is just "grab and go:: a piece of fruit, a snack and a drink.
The bedsheets were clean, the bed was decent, and truly, the location can't be beat. Close enough to Times Square but far enough from the noise.
