Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe walkway and porch steps were a bit icy and slippery and could have been more safely prepped for guests. The wonderfully comfortable bed in our room was quite high for my short wife and it appears that many of the rooms have a similar bed. Rather than a running start, a stepstool under each bed would be VERY helpful. We did have a pair of small chairs in our room that we utilized to help her crawl up onto the bed. Simple solutions and, other than that, there is NOTHING to dislike about our stay here.
The Mulburn Inn (built in 1908 as The Ivie Cottage) is under the new ownership of Dave and Karen Caldwell and they have every intention of making this inn a total success. They are a delightful and personable couple, and the inn is a spectacular example of the Teddy Roosevelt Era summer mansions built throughout New England. The spacious home is full of era appropriate furnishings and tastefully decorated. We stayed in The Franklin Pierce Room (rooms are named after presidents here in The Presidential Mountain Range) which was VERY roomy and comfortable. There was a large living room and several parlor rooms, including a large entertainment room with a large screen TV and comfortable couches and the mandatory Moose Head on the wall. The breakfast room was SO cozy with a large fireplace and the availability of 24/7 coffee, tea and water. In the winter, you could easily spend your entire morning or evening just reading next to the fireplace with a cup of coffee. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! Fresh fruit, muffin, "Dave's Scramble" (WOW!), maple/brown sugar/cayenne glazed bacon and wonderfully prepared home fries. The property is well-lighted at night and has a classic 1949 Packard in the front yard. We would, definitely, stay here again! Bethlehem is a delightful little community with a better selection of good restaurants than many cities much larger and they were OPEN in the winter! We had a wonderful dinner at The Cold Mountain Cafe. This inn and community are well worth spending some time in. Keep up the great work, Karen and Dave!

United StatesWhat's not to like? The only thing I didn't like was leaving.
The Mulburn Inn has a great atmosphere. You will feel right at home. The hosts, Dave and Karen, go above and beyond, making sure your stay is comfortable. The place is alive with history and is extremely cozy; interesting art, warm fireplaces, and plenty of nooks to hang out in. There is a delicious restaurant just two doors down and the breakfast at the inn itself is great. Plenty of coffee, tea, and other little goodies. There is a lovely front porch and outdoor fire pits for your enjoyment.

United StatesBathroom was small but functional and it had great hot water.
Our first impression of the Mulburn Inn was "awesome". The Inn was decorated for Halloween and had a very welcoming feel. Large wrap around porch and great front steps brought us to the front door. The interior was as charming as the exterior. We were greeted by Dave, Karen and the dogs. Dave was a woot, great sense of humor and kept us on our toes deciding if he was pooling our legs or serious about what he told us. After check-in, Karen showed us around the downstairs common areas. A large entryway, great dining room, two sitting areas and a T.V. room. There are antiques and old photos everywhere, heralding back to a time when this was once a private residence. Our rooms were on the second floor and on corners of the house. One room faced the backyard, and the other room faced the front of the house. Both rooms had vistas of color apparent in the trees and hillsides. Dave and Karen put on a mean breakfast spread. Dave makes killer "bacon" lathered in maple syrup and butter. Included were eggs, breads and fruit. Too much to finish, but our group gave it the good old college try. Dave and Karen made this a memorable stay. There is also a concierge who comes in during breakfast and helps folks plan the day trips for what best to see and do in the area. I would recommend this B&B to anyone that wants to be pampered and enjoy a homey stay in northern New Hampshire.

United StatesNothing.
From the moment you walk in the door, you know that you are in for a good experience. The decor, and even the whimsical Halloween decorations, were tasteful and inviting. Our room looked out on the front and the rear, with beautiful forested mountain vistas. The room was immaculate, with attention to detail. The breakfast was very good, with ultra yummy bacon, eggs, and fruit. Others also had pancakes. The owner, Dave, was fantastic and a font of information. He also provided a large cooler with ice and cold water bottles, without us asking. Karen, the co-owner and spouse was open and very pleasant as well. The very welcoming assistant, Jess, warmed up my almond milk for latte multiple times. When we decided to get takeout, Dave prepared the dining room with plates, glasses, and cutlery, even providing us wine. Dave and Karen provide a thoroughly hospitable inn experience, and we hope to return when next we head to NH/VT in 2027.
