Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere were what I believe were door men and bellhops in abundance at the doors every time we passed. We watched all the other guests get service from them but us. Not once do I recall them holding the door for my wife or I while they did for other guests. No offers to help with our bags. Not enough water bottles for the rooms and no offers to replace. TV very small and was locked out, Roku would have been better so we could watch our shows on our preferred platforms. Portions in the restaurant were too small, terrible value, delicious, but awful value. Service in the restaurant was terrible. I was disappointed when the flower pedals were not on the bed when we first entered the room. I suppose I didn’t really get any details on when they would be added. We left the hotel for a bit and were pleased to see them (a surprise for my wife) when we returned. I was a bit anxious when they weren’t there at first though. Noisy from both sides of our room. Toilet paper was terrible.
Gorgeous property in a great location. Stunning building. I loved the old charm with modern accents. Live jazz in the hotel lounge was awesome! Fire pits in the courtyard were a delight. Front desk staff were friendly. Sheets were fantastic! Ordered a flower pedal turndown, which was a much appreciated option which we loved. Full desk in the room with office chair was nice.

United StatesOur stay was perfect. The elevators were sometimes a traffic jam, but that’s inevitable and part of the charm of the hotel. We come to KC every year and happy to have found this gem. We will definitely be back soon.
Everything about our stay was meticulously planned to ensure everyone has the best experience. Whether it’s sitting down at the on-site restaurant for a family breakfast or later in the day for a romantic dinner with jazz music, or taking a short walk to the plaza for shopping and more fun, the entire staff is there to make this time unforgettable.

United StatesI was extremely disappointed to learn that I paid double the rate for the room I booked through booking - DOUBLE - as compared to the additional room I booked when I arrived at the hotel. When I contacted booking, I was told it was not their fault and that the hotel is responsible. I will book straight through the hotel in the future.
We have stayed at the property before, and always love the holiday experience. The walk ability to the plaza is fantastic (even when the temperature is very cold!), the bar and live music is a fantastic way to end the day - highly recommend) and the hotel has an overall charm that is hard to beat!

United StatesOur room was on the back of the hotel and didn't have the view that those facing the Plaza had. Also, the parking is located on the back of the hotel, so those vehicles that came and went with loud motors were very annoying. Some came in late and others left early and it was very apparent that they were there.
The location is the best for walking to the Plaza businesses and restaurants. The room was nice and cozy. No noise was heard from other visitors. Breakfast was delivered via room service and was a very nice meal.

United StatesThe evening bar/restaurant was very unwelcoming, cocktails were poorly made, not desirable and wells liquor was used to make signature drinks.
The staff at the front desk all were accommodating, personable, polite and courteous. The cleanliness was above observable personal standards.

United StatesIt’s a gorgeous, historic hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon 40 years ago and decided to return for our 40th anniversary! Everyone treated us like royalty. Our room overlooked the plaza Christmas lights! What a spectacular view. What an exquisite stay!

ChileOn our checkout, I got an invoice for a daily parking fee that I hadn’t idea (more than $300). I don’t remember that somebody told me about it. That was an unpleasant surprise. Even when I got a parking ticket that the hotel gave me when I did the check-in the first night.
The hotel was exceptional! It is a great building with so much history. But the most important thing to highlight was the people; Mr. Armstrong was very, very friendly, just like his assistant who received us the first night and congratulated us on our wedding, our waitress Angelica and even the bellhops were so kind and gentle. The hotel also, knowing that we would stay there for our honeymoon, left in our room a very kind card and chocolates. We love our stay!
