Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis is definitely geared to anyone who would like peace and quiet. No pool but it has so much architecture to the house. Nice soothing music.
It was very easy to find. The breakfast was fast and easy. Similar to breakfasts at hotels but tastier. Nice variety

United StatesNothing we had a great time within walking distance to everything we did. I would like to try some of the other rooms in the future. I would like to have a tour of the entire mansion as I am a history buff.
Quiet rooms and breakfast was great. Hosts were accommodating. Parking was a bit different having to use parking app. Not a big issue as it wasn’t to busy.

United StatesI understand that it’s an old mansion, but some things can use some upgrading, but overall, it’s charming.

United StatesThe room was cramped and difficult to move around in. The room fronted 5th Street, across from a very noisy bar that let out at 2am. Train horns in the near distance in the early part of the night were busy. Finally, the motorcycles at 4am wrapped up a mostly sleepless night. This is not in the host's control, but after a long day of driving I would give up being two blocks from downtown for another accommodation further out of town and drive in and park in the municipal lot.
The breakfast was amazing and ample! The fruit was fresh and the host very attentive and friendly with all the guests. It was nice to see him helping seniors get their bags downstairs. The house is lovingly furnished with turn of the century antiques. It is like stepping back in time to the 1910-1920 era. Parking in the municipal lot was 25 cents an hour, so it was a good place to leave the car all day.

United StatesElectricity is weird but I've stayed at older homes before so it's not that much of a bother to me.
Robert was so friendly, he gave us a free upgrade to the princess suite and it was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable the archway sitting room was a great place to get some work done while the Mis. Was still fast asleep. I definitely recommend, especially if one had a full day at Galina. It's not too far and it was worth it. :)

United StatesThe outside needs landscaping, paint and some cement tuneup. The 15 plus years since an extensive restoration have begun to show some wear and tear.
It is an older, well restored home. This is not a new cookie-cutter hotel, but the sort of home you would pay money to see during home tours or as a historic property.

United StatesOld mansion with a history. We did not have unrealistic expectations, any place this old at this price is going to have some cosmetic issues. It was still beautiful and clean and comfortable. Innkeeper Robert was friendly and had a good sense of humor (think Newhart) and kept us laughing. Location was perfect, close to everything. Breakfast was delicious.
