the bar and street noise below was quite a bit louder than we expected. also, I guess there was a family staying in the level above us and there were children RUNNING and jumping around constantly which was also very loud! The air mattress situation on the pull out couch in the living room as the 3rd bed was interesting. the thin loud mattress that is on the sofa bed is very uncomfortable so we added the air mattress as was suggested by the owner. this made the bed super high and difficult to use and also the air mattress-with or without the other mattress did not stay put on the pull out. I would suggest the owner invest in a new pullout mattress for the couch.

Probably the smell of the unit. It did smell a bit like mildew. Understandable it is an older building but maybe better precautions can be made to help elevate the smell. Other than that the house was beautiful.

It was convenient to the Bengals stadium and surrounding restaurants. The residents around us were very friendly.

It’s not so much a dislike as a caution! Our host was very forthcoming and helpful before we even left for our trip! Your GPS will not take you to the correct building! Follow landmarks and directions provided in your welcome email and you’ll arrive exactly where you’re supposed to be!

There are a ton of great little bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is clean and comfortable and a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

We couldn’t get the thermostat to work without having to call. Then it was regulated but went back to being way too hot at night. The blind cords on 4 of the blinds did not work so not dark enough in the morning.

The only thing that we didn’t like was out of the hosts hands. The location was in a busy part of the neighborhood, and the nightlife was great. However, the sports bar being on the lower level coupled with the nightlife, didn’t help the noise level while trying to sleep. It seemed like there were people and noise until 2 or 3 in the morning. My children slept on the sofa bed and they said they didn’t sleep at all.

With the above noted bars and restaurants, comes the noise. It lasted until about 3-4 AM on both Friday and Saturday night so that wasn,t great. The steps up to the apartment were a bit of a challenge but doable.

The apartment itself was wonderful as was the local coffee shop. Location was only about a 10 minute walk to our son and daughter in laws new apartment so that was good. Lots of nice bars and restaurants in the area as are the sports venues.

The view was amazing. We spent a lot of time admiring the location. The apartment itself was gorgeous, the photos don't do it justice.

The furnace was not on and it was 33' outside! We reached out to the owner several times and got no response. We used the oven for heat. Finally found another number to call and she was nice, but the problem was never resolved. Also, we didn't know that the apartment was up three very steep flights of stairs. It was a struggle with our luggage.

The decor was nice and had almost everything we needed.

The most concerning things were that when we arrived there was an overwhelming gas smell isolated in that apartment, which the host completely disregarded when I alerted them. I finally found that the stove gas was left on (for who knows how long) which is incredibly dangerous. Additionally, when we agreed on a slightly later checkout, the host still locked us out with the codes as we were getting our last items. We couldn’t get ahold of him and finally when we did he said they threw out remaining things which included a breast pump….The only response we got with either of these was. “sorry about that”. Otherwise, just know you are above a bar.

The space is beautiful, prime location.
