Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLovely hotel in a central position. A short walk to the river and lots of shops and restaurants. The L train also stops next to the hotel. Breakfasts were delicious - loved Steve, so cheerful every morning. The Roof bar was also an added bonus and Caitlin deserves a mention for her happy and friendly attitude.

United StatesNot thrilled about the non refundable cancelation of reservations . My issue was with the booking agent who was willing to grant me a refund but the Wit said no it was the Expedia who was at fault but was willing to grant me a refund
We love staying at the Wit when we go to the Chicago Theater for Concerts. The Wit is just steps away from the theater.

United StatesThe room was cold, with single-digit temps outside. The room refused to heat above 64-65 degrees during the night; and it was even colder closer to the exterior walls, making for a cold night's sleep. We tried closing the blinds, but that didn't help. It also blocked the city view, which is the whole point of staying in the room. I asked the front desk if they had any epsom salt or bubble bath for the bathtub, but the receptionist looked perplexed by the question.
The SPA KING GUESTROOM had amazing views of the city and the Chicago Theater

United StatesElevator call buttons did not seem to function properly (i.e. had to push both up and down to call the elevator) and it would have been nice to have ice machines on all floors.
Room was clean, comfortable, spacious. Staff was excellent. Location was great.

United StatesThey close two elevators for the night club. I *really* needed to use the bathroom and waiting for the elevator was making my stomach turn. Couldn't they have 1 dedicated elevator for the night club?
Loved every from the big room, the roomy bath tub and the great staff.

RomaniaThough the hotel was very beautiful and I would give a 10/10 score for the actual building and rooms and location, we were very disappointed upon arrival when we found out there will be a daily deposit charge of $150 per night. So for just two nights we left an extra $300 on top of what we already paid for to stay there. Though paid up front at the desk, upon leaving we found out it will take up to 5 days to get the money back. I did not read this when I booked The hotel. Plus after spending $330 per night, at least a complimentary bottle of water would have been appreciated. We drank the two bottles of water that were left on the desk thinking they were complimentary, only to be charged at the end for these bottles of water. There was absolutely nothing complimentary. The morning we left we recieved an email with another list of taxes and fees equal to 67 dollars, we were shocked as we already paid many fees and taxes. When we checked out we double checked to see if the bill was right and they had realized the extra charge of $67 was a mistake. But had I not brought it up they would have charged that too. So sadly this left us with a bitter taste.
The room was very beautiful, with a great view to the City. The relaxation bathtub was great and the large windows give a beautiful panoramic view.

SwedenCheck out process was confusing as they charge the hotel fees separate from the room charge.
The staff in the lobby restaurant were extremely service minded. They also gave us a 25 credit to spend in the hotel when we checked in, which was very unexpected and nice.
