Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe elevator was slow and we were waiting a long time most trips up and down. The front desk would have one person and a lobby of people waiting. The room was nice but most of the time we had to sit in bed because there wasn’t much space. I know it’s manhattan and we really were close to lots of walking places. On the 5th day we got locked out of our room and had to go down to the front desk. She reset the keys but gave no explanation and no apology. I had to cut in line because we needed to get in our room and there were five people in line. Very crowded lobby most of the time. There was a concierge station but no one was ever there.
The breakfast was good. The ease of it was worth the price but it was the same thing almost every day- eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage, and pancakes. Nice but not exciting after the 5th morning. The room was decorated so nice with red and grey accents. The shower was really nice with lots of hot water and water pressure. We could store our luggage when we needed to check out. A second sink in the room was great. Deli down the street and Vito’s pizza were nice and convenient. Police station was next door but all was quiet on the 12th floor. We had a second air conditioner in our room and it made it nice and cold for sleeping.

United StatesThe room was quite small, though you'd expect this in NYC. We did have 2 queen beds squished into it plus a desk and a tv bench. Plenty of floor space for bags in the hall area, because... The bathroom was very small (a pocket or barn door would have been much better than a swing door, and the vanity barely had enough room for toothbrushes. Shower was sizable. There was a fridge but it was tucked in the closet by the bed. There was only 2 power outlets in the room (and 2 in the bathroom). No power outlets by the beds. The AC was extremely loud.
The location was fantastic: One block to a subway that had multiple lines, and 3 blocks to Moynahan Trail station (Amtrak). Easy to walk with multiple bags. 1 mile walk to Times Square, 2 miles to Central Park. 3 blocks to the Edge at Hudson Yards, which is also where the Highline trail starts (beautiful walk down to Chelsea). Sufficient restaurants of all levels near-by. Also a wholefoods store 3 blocks away for groceries and their prepared food buffet if you're traveling on a budget. The room was surprisingly quiet. We were on the 4th floor, street side. The hotel is next to a police station. We could not complain about the street noise at all. We were also directly across the elevators, and didn't really hear anyone outside the door. Overall a pretty good budget hotel.

United StatesTo be fair, we arrived during a heatwave. Our AC didn’t work the first 2 nights. For some reason the front desk staff promised to deliver a fan to our room, but when it never arrived and I went back to ask I was told they don’t do that. Also, our curtain fell down.
Location was great, room was big enough for all six of us (two adults, four kids), bar on-site.

CanadaAll services provided by employees were very long. Check-in process was long ans room was ready 1 hour and a half late. We dined at the restaurant and we waited 45 minutes for our food with no apparent reason
Location is awesome, close to Time Square. The room was very clean. The balcony was a nice addition.

United StatesI called from the airport to see if I could get early check in.. the lady I talked to confirmed I could check in at 1:00.. we get there and the guy at the front desk looked at me like I was an idiot and there was no chance of early check in. Just kept staring at me and asking who I talked to. No apology. A maid took our shopping bag which she called trash.. it was full of clothes.. when asked about it she ironically was able to get the clean bag out of the trash. She yelled at us for leaving a shopping bag on the floor. No apology.
Felt safe next to NYPD precinct. The suite with 2 bathrooms and sleeping for 8 was amazing!

IrelandWe didn’t realise there was a rooftop terrace until we came home, and would have liked to be told about that.
Very central, rooms were clean, we used as a base for exploring Manhattan. Really close to Penn Station, didn’t have much interaction with staff but those that we did were very pleasant, in particular the maintenance man who we met on our first evening. Aircon was perfectly cool and beds were comfy. There were changes for bath, hand and face towels every day, tea and coffee facilities in the room along with a small fridge and sink.

United StatesNot the greatest area of the city but it’s right next to the police station so there was a police presence at all times they say they have a shuttle to and from the Air port this is in fact not true so that was disappointing and definitely inconvenient when your plane comes in at 9pm we never ate breakfast there because it was $20 a plate.
Rooms were nice and clean and it’s within walking distance from times square and lots of other places to see.
