Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNothing, everything was perfect.
Easy access road, beautiful property, very thoughtful and detailed oriented host to make sure your stay is fabulous, good quality hot tub, barbecue, games available on the backyard as well as borad games in the house. Kitchen had everything you need, a lot of fresh towels, beds are very comfy, cleaning was top of notch which is very important for me.

United StatesI was slightly worried about the safety, as the fence was quite small and the backyard doors were made of glass. Yet, the location itself seemed very safe and rural. Also the house was a bit far (not a walking distance) from any shops.
This was a perfect stay for the Weekend. The night sky was amazing and the property was very clean. House was bigger than excepted and had everything we needed. Everything worked and we had no problems with the equipment. It is an ideal place to go as a small group for a great desert/Joshua Tree experience. It did feel a bit like being in the "middle of nowhere", but in a very good and comfortable way. We highly enjoyed the stay and would be happy to come again.

United StatesThe wifi was a bit slow or spotty and the spa wasn't working the first couple of days. It also takes a few hours to heat up, and needed to be reset a couple of times so the jets would work
Beautiful design and lots of space. Nice little touches throughout that made our stay so easy. (laundry detergent, tin foil, etc ). Beds were comfortable and loved the side room with the piano, telescope, and view. Hosts were very responsive.

GermanyNo hammock (had been blown away by a storm a week earlier), blunt scissors, only one of four knives fairly sharp, mattresses too soft, no (jacuzzi) bathtub in the house, neighbors too close (light pollution from the house next door)...
Fabulous and luxurous accommodation in the desert, great jacuzzi, cozy and modern furnishing, very nice large Smart-TV with several streaming services, large backyard with jacuzzi, fire pit, meditation room, hammock (unfortunately not available when we were there), sitting area and several games, comfortable large beds in the two bedrooms (mattresses a little soft, though), fully equipped house and kitchen, plenty of boardgames, telescope available, pretty unique and isolated location, I'll be back for sure!

NetherlandsNot much to mention here. The wifi isn't great, which is clearly stated. But it's worth knowing in advance in case you depend on it.
It's a great house where you can see a lot of effort was put into the details. It has everything you need for a lovely stay.

United StatesThe couch in the main room could have been a bit bigger and more comfortable for watching movies.
House was newly renovated with great amenities for our family with teenagers: games, puzzles, cornhole, hot tub. It was also very private, with great views.

United StatesSofa / seating could have been more comfortable. A proper dressing in one of the bedrooms would have been nice. But we stayed 5 nights and I don't know that most people are there that long to care about those things.
Beds were super comfy. Outdoor area is really great for relaxing, playing games, hanging out in the evening with the firepit. Location is very quiet and peaceful and has a true desert vibe. Everything is fairly new and modern, very clean. Owners are very responsive and sweet.

United StatesWhilst you could sleep 6 people, there is only one shower/bathroom. Also, the living room sofa area only comfortable seat 2-3 people. Luckily, our family weren’t able to join us, otherwise they would need to sit on the floor. We struggled to get the outside jacuzzi heat up; so couldn’t fully enjoy the experience; but we didn’t want to reach out for assistance as it was Christmas.
It’s close by to the ‘West’ entrance to Joshua Tree National park - just a 10-15mins drive. The town is also just 10-15mins away; if you don’t fancy cooking, there are restaurants available. We liked that the accommodation was a standalone with minimal noise from neighbors. The backyard is huge and entitled closed off, so our dogs were able to play freely! The pups loved it! We stayed during the Christmas weekend and it would get a little cold at night, but the heating in the home worked great!

United StatesNot much to dislike - I would just say that as it’s a dog friendly property, expect to find some dog hairs here and there!
We had a great stay at this property - it really is equipped with everything you could possibly need and has great proximity to Joshua Tree park. Beds are really comfortable and we loved having a full kitchen and the quietness of a less busy neighborhood. Wonderful views of the sunrise too! The backyard is a great bonus - sadly we didn’t get to enjoy it much because it got quite cold in evenings and mornings during our stay but it’s such a great feature of the house. The owners are very polite and responsive. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this area!
