Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaEven if it is on the cheaper side of the NY hotels (especially ones with a private bathroom) it still feels a little bit expensive as an experience.
The sheets were changed every day. The room had enough room for a solo traveler. The breakfast was nice. The staff were very kind

CanadaIF you did need any "concierge" assistance, you're not really getting any here. Rooms were tight (but well thought-out) but i was solo so it didn't matter so much. If i had to share this with my partner, it would have been VERY challenging.
Very cool and different setup perfect for a traveller who doesnt need a lot of front desk or concierge support. Very cool and off-beat vibe. Deliscious (and free) barista coffee and pastries in the morning! Well located, albeit still a transitioning block/area. Super easy check in and check out process.

ItalyAt 7/7:30 there was still a good chicche of pastries. Unfortunately there were no pastries after 8:30 am, even if we were told that the complimentary coffee and pastries were served till 11 am.
The location was amazing and super convenient.

United StatesIt’s so minor but the toilet paper was so thin it basically falls apart instantly. That one small thing can make a big difference in a stay.
Rooms were very cute and we loved the latte lattes and pastries in the morning!

United StatesA small thing- The in room literature needs updating - someone cleaned my room each day (the document said they didn’t have that). It also referenced the coffee maker which wasn’t available in my room.
Clean, staff was great particularly the baristas in the morning. Really unique vibe- nice hotel.

United StatesOnly one elevator worked, which was only a minor issue for us but could have been worse on a higher floor. Door to bathroom is a bi-fold, not great for privacy.
Espresso drinks and fresh pastries included in cost with breakfast. Wood floors in the rooms instead of carpets. Friendly and approachable staff, always at the front desk. Perfect location.

United StatesThe neighborhood is gritty. It’s on Bowery, right next to the Mission which serves the homeless meals, an awesome thing. However we would find homeless sleeping in the courtyard in the morning and walking by was sometimes scary with fights. Rooms are also really small, which is to be expected.
Great area to work and get coffee in the morning. They give you 1 complimentary cup of coffee (latte etc) per guest as well as pastry each day 7-11. Conveniently located to Noho/soho/LES. The alley itself is cool and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.

FranceIt’s not really a complaint but a reminder that the small rooms can be very small and the toilet could be by your head side of the bed. The sink was outside of the bathroom at the other side of the room and that could bother some people. But in general, it’s a good price for what you get at the location 🙂
I really like the simplicity of the room, and the decorations were also very pleasant and stylish. The common areas were very well maintained and beautiful. It really has everything you need, and I loved the view from my room. Location was wonderful. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I didn’t have chance to use the fitness centre and the rooftop bar. Hope I’ll be able to try them next time!

United StatesIt is essentially a self service hotel, more like an Airbnb, though it is easier to communicate with Airbnb. I had a question after booking, and struggled to get any response. You can’t call - they tell you to email or text. No one answered my email, finally got a barely helpful response by text.
Comfortable, well designed room, though very small. Fine for one person, intimate for two. Nice coffee and pastries at breakfast with a good sized dining, lounge area. The alley leading to the hotel is well lit.

United KingdomIronically, there was a note on the desk saying to keep the noise down between 10pm and 8am to be considerate to our neighbours. At the same time, there was the loudest outdoor party happening in the bar which was practically outside our window and which went well on into the night - not ideal when you have just got off a flight and adjusting to the jetlag. Was quite on other nights though.
Very nice set up with fabulous city views. Nice vibe. Breakfast was super excellent. Great neighbourhood. All very civilised. Highly recommend.
