With no breakfast included in the rate, it would have been nice to have some crockery and cutlery in the room so that we could have our own food.

Nice unit. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfasts at the Glass House restaurant - but this adds considerably to the daily cost. Made use of the Island explorer buses which picked up just outside our unit.

We arrived at 7pm without a booking - we asked prices at reception and we’re told approx $350 per night - I thought this was expensive so looked on Booking.com for a cheaper option and was told (in a sarcastic tone by the receptionist) “good luck” We did however find one for half the price quoted on the property and we’re told that sometimes it took an hour for the reservation to come through do we said we’d wait in the bar. 10 minutes later the receptionist came over and told us our booking had arrived so we picked up the key etc. the receptionist was very unwelcoming and quite frankly, rude. The room was good but the bed wasn’t that comfortable. When checking out on Sunday morning there was a different receptionist who was very happy and helpful.

Confusing where to check in. Albeit we didn’t read the email which made it clear where to check in.

This is a hidden gem. The outside doesn’t do it justice. It is clean, bright, quiet and comfortable. You can park outside your doors. Walkable to town and close without the downtown hassle. Liked the fresh towels and coffee refresh during our stay. Really great place for the value.

The bathroom was really dated and could've been a bit nicer. It was further out of town than expected so had to drive into Bar Harbor which is a bit of a pain since parking is such a hassle.

Nice grounds for our dog. Room size was nice.

The ice machine at our building was broken so we had to walk quite a ways to the other one.

The King size beds were wonderfully comfortable and the view was spectacular.

The view was amazing. We could even see first light and sunrise right from our room. The staff were very accommodating. I got sick and stayed in the room one day and asked just for some extra wash clothes, a towel and coffee/tea. There was a nice restaurant with a view right next to our room for breakfast.

The village view was spectacular. We loved the close proximity to the park loop as well as to downtown Bar Harbor.

The bathroom had a small shower with no powered vent. Just a window to open up to the outside.

The location was great. Being able to just walk up some stairs for breakfast and dinner instead of fighting for parking in bar harbor was great. The staff was very helpful and would point out good restaurants for me on a map when I asked for recommendations.

It was a shame that the dining room wasn't open for breakfast on a Tuesday.

The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help. The room was extremely comfortable, spotless with all the facilities needed. The dining room served a lovely breakfast. The shuttle bus was a great bonus, taking us in and out of the town free of charge..

The bartender at the piano bar could have been more attentive. I waited for a second drink at the bar for 15 minutes or more and decided it was hot worth it. Cashed out and left.

Carpets needed a steam clean, they looked grubby. No electric jug for tea making. No shelving in bathroom for personal items. A second luggage stand required (we were a couple with 2 bags, only one luggage stand provided)

Room with view over Bar Harbor, just a short stroll from Town/harbor. Room was big enough for 2 people, bathroom a generous size but needed shelf space for our personal items. An electric jug for making tea would have been helpful. We used the urns in reception foyer for this purpose. Easy drive in to unit's parking area/space. Breakfast was excellent too at Looking Glass room.

Shower curtain too short for the shower so the floor gets kinda wet.

It was very convenient to walk downtown and leave our car since everywhere you had to find and pay for parking. Every night of our stay with listened to a beautiful piano player. Our towels were changed every morning since there wasn’t a very good place to hang them. The Looking Glass Restaurant was a very short walk and wonderful breakfast.
