Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesDeadbolt locks on the door going out to the deck would have made us feel more secure, especially since the deck extended to another room with a door.
We stayed for one night in a private three bed room with a private bathroom. My husband and I travelled with our two teen boys. We arrived late evening and they put us in the Half Dome room. One thing I will mention, when you drive in, don't be alarmed by the beaten down cabins by the roadside! That isn't part of the resort but it looks very sketchy! Parking was a little tricky in our full sized van. We had to walk down a couple flights of stairs to our room, but it was very well lit and we had no trouble finding it per the map given to us. The room was great, clean and comfortable. The hot water was immediate and the water pressure in the showers great. We didn't make use of the cafe, except to get coffee in the morning, but it was good! Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!

United StatesThe name of the place says it all-it’s rustic and met my daughter and I’s needs-Yosemite is 45 minutes away with no traffic, about an hour with more cars driving highway 140, this was my 2nd time staying and I’ll be back-we love this spot! Since I’m always on a strict budget I love this place because they have a kitchen where you can store your food and cook, it’s a community thing and if your comfortable with sharing a space with others than you’ll love it. I’m upgraded this time around and got the lodge up the hill “Solomon”. The view was great and a parking spot. My neighbors were backpackers climbers so they were in and out in the morning , the people are kind and welcoming as well-lots of tourists from all over the world, I talk with some here and there and they are quite fascinated by Americans lol anywho the place is greatt and the drive in and out of Yosemite is breathtaking!

United KingdomGreat mountain resort for exploring Yosemite. I stayed in a dorm room which was warm, comfy & quiet. Winter time so not too busy. The cafe was great for breakfast & they offer trail packed lunch. I used the very nice kitchen in the evening to prepare my own food. It's an hour on a bus to the park so bear this in mind if you don't have a car. Last bus back is 5.30pm, I'm not sure if that changes in Summer but you can check YARTS bus website for timetable. I loved it & would stay again.

United StatesI rented a room with a restroom and shower . Since the first night water pressure was weak . To shower it took a long time . That same night at around 11 we stared having more issues with the sink . Next morning there was no water . We couldn’t use the toilet or shower 😩. We contact in the AM the front desk . They said a pipe broke and they were fixing it . To make this short we stay Friday - Check out Sunday . The water issue was resolve on the time of check out . Too late for us . Good for the next guess .
It’s a beautiful property in a beautiful nature location.

United StatesI am not fond that it was non refundable after I bought it. I come from Sacramento and if it snows I would not be able to come as i cant out chains on my car.. Thankfully it did not and all was well. But my friend canceled on me for that reason. Also the water stopped working overnight. We couldn't shower or wash our hands and we were off to Yosemite in the morning so that was not convenient. I get things happen though. But they just said sorry maintenance is fixing it. It would of been nice for a partial refund since I stayed in a cabin a night for a short period of time and we couldn't even shower or wash our hands and had to leave.

GermanyWe were sleeping in one of the tents, so the accommodations was pretty basic. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers warm, but they are open to airflow so it can get kind of cold. They have a very sweet cafe that offers good breakfast.

United StatesThe outdoor stairs could be updated.
Food was very good, nice selection of meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian/vegan, plentiful and served with choice of soup and salad. Just what you want after a long day of hiking. Restaurant is rustic and cozy with big fireplace. Staff friendly and efficient. All in all very good experience.

United StatesBreakfast. All good: but scrumbled eggs is not omelette. I wanted scrumbled eggs and got an omelette, twice! Also the cafe was supposed to open at 6:30. But it was not. I had to leave early and I was counting on that.

United KingdomThe property is an hour away from Yosemite. The stay was neat and staff were also friendly. The cafe also serves amazing food. We booked the Standard Private Queen Room. I wish it came with a kettle or coffee machine. They are available in the common kitchen. There was heavy rain and some construction work happening when we visited which made it difficult to walk around the property.

United StatesWhile they offer a free EV charger, I found non-EVs parked in those spots, even though they are marked reserved for EV charging only. There were also several regular spots open, so those cars could have easily parked elsewhere. Maybe they can improve the signage or inform guests about parking during check-in, to help avoid this in the future!
The tent cabin was cozy and the beds were comfortable. The showers and toilets was also great, with instant hot water, and clean and good condition fixtures. June Bug Cafe is a cute spot for a nice meal after a day at Yosemite, or to start the day. Location is hard to beat too!

United StatesI like the surrounding environment of the accommodation, but using the restroom at night is inconvenient
In regards to the room, it would be exceptionally helpful if it could be equipped with a portable, simple toilet and disposable plastic bags for toilet use. Ideally, these bags would be provided with solidifying agents for urine and feces. This would greatly enhance the convenience and comfort of the space

United StatesParking was a bit of a pain, it was always full where they told us to park, and a steep and tricky one way part of the driveway. I was aware of this, but just note that there are A LOT of stairs. It had been raining, so everything was very muddy and a bit difficult lugging suitcases up to the cabins in the mud. Sealed paths would be good.
This is my second time staying here, and I'm sure I'll be back again. You can't beat the location for this price. It's great to have a kitchen. Our little cabin was cozy and quiet.

United StatesThe showers were extremely small. Parking was a bit of a hassle especially at night, needs more lights around and signs to get to your cabin safely.

IrelandIt is a bit far from Yosemite if that's what you are going for. You will need a car I think, there is some public transport but not much in the winter. It was about 50 minutes drive to the park.

United StatesNo clock in the room, which wasn't an issue since we used our cell phones. I like to keep my phone charging next to the bed, but there wasn't an outlet close enough (next time I'll bring an extension cord). Our cabin was at the bottom of the hill, which was a bit slippery walking down to. Will request a cabin with an easier walkway next time.
Quirky place, with an adult summer camp vibe. There were several extended families and young couples here too, which gave it a pleasant atmosphere. The lodge room has a pretty good restaurant with counter service so we didn't have to leave and find food when we were tired. It has a fireplace and games so it was relaxing to sit here in the evening. Although about an hour out of Yosemite, the location worked well for us because the drive into Yosemite was so lovely. Liked that we could get a room with bunks for the kids. Rooms had antiques, which were fun.

United KingdomYou’re paying for the location; it’s quite expensive for the accommodation given, we paid the same for 3 nights in a 5 star in San Francisco! The room we had was very plain and lacked amenities - nowhere near as nice as what we had last time despite booking the same thing. There was also no fridge - which we had last time - so we had to use the communal storage. Also no tea and coffee facilities. It was small, and the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbour - which is fine except our neighbours made a LOT of noise at 5am. Also it was generally clean, but housekeeping hadn’t checked the drawers and when I opened one to store something there was a takeaway carton with half a loaf of old bread in - disgusting.
We’ve stayed here before. The location is great, on the Hwy-140 so easy access (1 hour) to Yosemite valley visitor centre driving or you could catch the YARTS bus. There is lots of parking, staff were friendly enough. The food on site is great and very reasonably priced, and there is a shop on site where you can buy essentials and rent tire chains.
