Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNot too much parking and lack of activities however was visiting during off peak time.
Great value for money, and close to Yosemite National Park. Restaurant food was tasty and plentiful.

AustraliaThe room construction is "lightweight", which meant the rooms were quite noisy, ie. we could hear movement in our adjacent room. The spa cost was advised upon arrival to be US$20 per person, which was a turn-off.
The room heating was warm and cosy for the cool December nights. The granola option for breakfast was great. Spacious and welcoming and warm dining hall. The tall trees and the sloping built environment was unique.

United StatesThis place was super cute! I got the tent cabin, it was a great spot for a very reasonable price. I love how close it was to the park entrance. The food & drinks were great as well :)

United StatesIn the tent cabins we stayed in there is one bathroom nearby with only one stall. Makes things a little tricky at times. There are four cabins to share the one bathroom.
Love the place, been coming here for years. While the prices have increased, it's still a great value and the restaurant is excellent.

PortugalThe room was really cold at night and the AC was really noisy so we couldn’t leave it on during the night. Old room decor, with carpeted floors, but I guess it goes with the rustic air of the place.
Decently close to Yosemite entrance, the hotel has a really cool dining room with wooden walls and quirky decoration and a fireplace where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner and just relax and hang out. We stayed in a private room and the beds was comfortable and clean. Nice shower pressure. Good price!

RomaniaThey told me me to park far away on a cliff and I had to carry my luggage up and down the road for a long distance.
I stayed in a tent, but it was great, the beds are comfortable, soft, in the room is warm. The view is amazing and the whole place is overall quiet. The food at the restaurant is well priced and really tasty and the portions are big.

ArgentinaPower sockets could have more comfortable locations close to all beds, in particular upper bunk beds. And the lockers could be in slightly better conditions.
My 12 bed-room had its own bathroom with 2 showers with hot water, 2 toilets and 2 sinks, which makes it very convenient while sharing the facilities. Not only you don't need to leave the room but it's less likely that you need to wait to use it. It's also nice to have a fully operational restaurant as well as a supplied kitchen with large fridges.

United StatesThe restaurant was great. I knew that there were steps, but there were more than I expected. Not sure I would have liked it as much if I needed to use a/c or heater. Front staff extremely helpful and patient, especially b/c, for some reason, I needed front staff to make my WiFi work, so it wasn't perfect. Appreciated the guest kitchen.

FranceMy bed was really uncomfortable, there was a massive hole in the mattress. I tried and asked to change beds but it wasn't possible as all others in the room were expected to be taken. Obviously as the name indicates, it is rustic and I wasn't expecting a 5-star experience, but also the locker was all deformed and I was slightly disappointed by the overall atmosphere and lack of some 'warmth' between travelers as I'm used to in other parts of the world maybe.
Overall, the hostel is well organised and the restaurant at the center is very good to have.

United KingdomThe accommodation is basic, but no more than advertised, and fits with the feel of the resort.

United KingdomSome of the hooks in the bathroom was missing so you had no where to hang your clothes when showering. I didn’t like the fact there are no curtains on the bed to give extra privacy when sleeping. I don’t like the overflow car park being at the top of a steep hill
I liked the rural location of the property and the fact the wifi works in most places on the site.
