Everything was amazing at Zaborin. The snow view was beautiful and surreal. Room price included both breakfast and dinner. Unlike some meal inclusive resorts, the food quality here was superior and on par with what you would get at top-tier restaurants. The service is also impeccable. All the staff we met were amazing and epitome of Japanese service.

This is a hot spring hotel with traditional rooms and a very good formal restaurant. It is near the An’nupuri ski lifts, more chill and less crowded than the Grand HIRAFU area.

Great Japanese style breakfast (or you can opt a Western breakfast) and kaiseki style dinner, but you have to make sure and reserve both beforehand with the front desk. The location can't be beat if you are skiing or cat skiing at Iwanai Resort. Just a short walk up the hill. Amazing views out into the Sea of Japan. Plenty of space in our room to spread out with ski gear.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The pods themselves are very nice and spacious. You can stand in them and you have a little table. The onsen bath is generous and relaxing. There is a convenience store right outside the accomodation.
Ski in and out
Great customer service
Very clean and modern
Spacious room with kitchenette
Onsen and family onsen
Scrumptious Breakfast
Welcome gift was a nice touch and useful for ski
Received anniversary gifts in the room
The premises is a hostel that caters for skiers during Winter. We had the tatami beds in a private room and if we can cope aged 57 and 60 anybody can!
It was the cheapest we could find but we enjoyed, aside from the cold showers, but it was cheap in comparison 😀
Boken Kazoku was very cozy and comfortable. The staff was by far the best part. They were kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable of the area. We loved the dinner we had there as well and the deer in the curry was shot by Ana-san, one of the owners! Very rustic indeed :) The rooms were great though with traditional futons. We had a heater in the room, a lovely view outside, and a nice communal kitchen as well.
Clean, comfortable, traditional Japanese aesthetic. Very friendly and helpful owner - gave me lifts to climb Yotei and to the local onsen. Excellent kitchen, spacious and well equipped. Great atmosphere- relaxed and friendly.
Chill atmosphere and nice view on Yotei-san in the common area
A lot of space in the bunk bed
But the best advantage of this place is the host! Ryo is such a nice person, always ready to help. He drove me to the trails in the mountain and to the onsen
Good to know: you can also rent a bike there
