Based on the value, this is a great spot to spend a night or two. It is super basic put together on a budget but it is priced well compared to typical locations in the area. The place stayed very warm and proved to be a nice stop the first night in Iceland after a visit to the Blue Lagoon on our way to the East Coast.

This cozy cottage was wonderful. Helga (our host) was off property on vacation but still so communicative the whole time. She arranged for the cottage to be cleaned and available for us early afternoon (1/1:30pm) because we landed very early in the morning and needed some nap time with our 5-year-old and ourselves. The cottage is easy to find, hidden away, beautifully decorated and so cozy. It was a very rainy day and we very felt very warm and comfy. We ate at the food hall at the Greenhouse Hotel and that was lively and the fish and chips from Hipstur was yum. Definitely recommending to friends coming to Iceland and if/when we come back will book more days!

We're very happy with our stay. Would recommend the cabin to everyone looking to stay in a quiet and peaceful place in the countryside with gorgeous views. Host is amazing - kind, responsive and welcoming.
Keep in mind that the place is on a farm, out of town, so you can't expect city life there. Also, the room with the twin beds is accessible by a wooden ladder. It's solid and stable, easily supports adults, but not suitable for people with limited mobility.

The guesthouse we stayed at was beautiful and comfortable. We loved to see the horses that were on the property. The location was honestly perfect, the drive to Reykjavík was under an hour and there were a lot of spots you can visit if you want a slow or relaxing day. The host was absolutely wonderful, and checked in on us every once in a while to make sure we weee always comfortable.
