Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe were hoping for a long weekend retreat with the kids and purposely chose a hotel with a heated pool. They were looking forward to enjoying the pool. BUT, the pool was closed on Sunday afternoon and would only open after 2PM on the Monday (Family Day!) after our checkout time! This information was nowhere to be found on Booking or the hotel website... quite the contrary, having an indoor heated pool was one of the hotel highlights... Ended up with two crying toddlers inside a hotel room for 2.5 days...
Room was good, bed comfy, and breakfast was excellent.

United StatesRoom service could be slow, especially in the evenings. The front desk was often crowded with other guests. Getting in and out of the building was a little confusing at first.
It's conveniently located in downtown Montreal with easy access to the subway. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The Bivouac restaurant in the hotel is excellent!

Canadanot a fan of the barn door for the bathroom, it's noisy. Toilet seat is a little high if you are below 5,2. Soap smelled nice but is definitely not for sensitive skin.
Room are comfortable and not cramped. clean and well furnished. the lighted bathroom was a nice touch and perfect for a late night trip to the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was great if a little pricey. I liked the welcome warm cookies at check-in.

CanadaThe breakfast charged separately, we only had it for one morning, and we arrived when it was almost over. Less food left. And I think the options were far less for the price and the hotel star. I would recommend eat breakfast somewhere else.
The curtains were great for blacking out light. The facilities were new. Location was good, it is in a mall, and closed to Chinatown, many options for food and convenient if need something. About 20 min waking to the port area, with kids.

Canada**Check-In Experience:** The check-in process was slow, with only one staff member available to assist guests. I had to wait about 15 minutes before it was my turn, which set a frustrating tone for my visit. **Elevator Issues:** Only two elevators were operational during my stay, leading to long waits of 5-10 minutes each time I needed to use them. This was particularly inconvenient. **Room Service:** The room service was also quite slow, taking longer than expected to respond to requests. **Room Condition:** Additionally, the washroom had noticeable damage, with the ceiling torn in two or three places, which detracted from the overall experience.
**Location:** The hotel’s location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions and dining options. **Room Ambiance:** The room had a cozy ambiance, which made it a comfortable place to relax after a long day. **Breakfast:** Breakfast was a definite plus. It offered a good selection and was enjoyable to start the day. **Staff:** The staff were friendly and helpful, doing their best to assist guests despite the busy environment.

CanadaMy room hadn’t been cleaned very well. I did speak to them about it and they were very apologetic and the towels got changed but the popcorn on the floor in bedroom had not been vacuumed or bathroom cleaned. Did not want to keep on as I wanted to enjoy my little holiday so I just made do!!
It was very central and places were walkable in most cases. Staff were very friendly!

OmanAt the day of checking out, there was a very loud drilling noise which started around 8-8:30 am. This woke up our children with fear and that was a really bad decision to make. loud noise very early in the morning?! When reported this at the reception when checking out, I was expecting a better response form the staff there. They should know how to absorb the costumers frustration which should be one of the main qualities for a staff working in the front desk. The other bad experience was about accessing paid TV content. It was without restriction. Kids could have just entered any movie and purchased it without parent consent/confirmation.
The staff at the reception when arrived. The location of the building. The cleanliness of the rooms.
