It’s an old building that has been maintained just good enough to be functional. It shows in a lot of the public areas, corridors and units. However, for such a small town and the location, I think it is probably one of the best options in town. Hard to beat the location.

The location of this hotel is perfectly nesselled in a small fishing village with local restaurants and stores. The room featured a balcony with outdoor seating with an ocean view. The beds are very comfortable, it has an excellent shower, minibar, television, and a pod coffee machine. Fresh, cold drinking water and ice were available. The attached pub offered entertainment and a kitchen Party while I was there and it was awesome. The fish+chips were excellent and the beer was cold. I would return to this hotel.

Sound proofing poor (doors and ceiling with floors above). Receptionist didn't smile and not welcoming. Food in restaurant was very dissapointing - expect your chicken to be boiled and tasteless.

Would've preferred real milk rather than powder for tea in room. Something kept banging against wall outside during windy night. Was pricy but location was great.

The rooms and general interior needs updating. Th outside looks amazing - but when we checked in we didn’t realize it wasn’t ocean view and the lady at check in didn’t clarify. Ironically we did not get a view - just overlooked parking lot. Also room keys were old school (good old fashioned key no keypad) along with bathrooms and furniture were very outdated. No clean drinking water from tap but they do accommodate with clean drinking water fountain in the lobby. The pub attached offers shows and bands but when you do not know the schedule we were not able to eat there and had limited options.

Internet is basically none existent. TV was basically unwatchable with static lines through it. For those of you that need to work via internet, the LTE in that area was thankfully really good. The chairs on the balconies need to be replaced, they are badly weather beaten

The hotel bar was not available to us as guests without paying a $50+ fee to gain entry to a show we did not want to see. The hotel offers no other facility to enjoy a drink, and there's no other bar in town. We decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant but that sits right above the bar so when the show started up the atmosphere in the restaurant was destroyed by loud thumping music from below!

The location is amazing being right on the sea front in Rocky Harbour. Our room was large and comfortable with a large outside terrace. Staff were very pleasant.
