  • “Very big room, lovely staff. Only thing is if you're staying on a Friday night expect a lot of noise from the bars outside. Didn't bother us too much, but it does go on the majority of the night. The hotel is lovely though, and great breakfast. Location is very handy for the train station/walking in to town/local venues.”

  • “Close to the airport”

  • Leonardo Hotel Newcastle Review Score: 7.9

“Great location and adjacent parking. Zero welcome at reception, not even eye contact, utterly miserable and unwelcoming.”

  • “Even though unnecessary second bed the room was more than adequate. There was a little constant noise from an air con unit nearby which was a little offputting”

  • Great North Hotel Review Score: 9

“Very comfortable bed. Room had all the necessary facilities and bathroom was well laid out. The complimentary toiletries were of a good standard. Love the free parking on site, and breakfast options were very good and at reasonable time for early and late risers.”

    “Nothing”

  • “Good location if travelling by rail. Good sized room and pleasant breakfast. Room was ready when we arrived before 12 so given access to it. Friendly staff throughout...has leisure facilities but didn't have time to use pool on our short visit.”

  • Novotel Newcastle Airport Review Score: 8.8

“From arrival to departure we had an unforgettable experience! The decor was interesting and certainly not dated or 'tired'. The staff were genuinely interested in helping and talking with us. The main reception areas had a thoughtful layout with various seating areas and furniture rather than a 'sterile' kind of place. A nice touch to have a pool table in this area too... The breakfast was very good indeed. It was so encouraging to see a sensible and clever approach to serving and replenishing the food. Our room was immaculate. It was clear the room had recently been refurbished to a very good standard. The garden to the rear of the hotel is very pretty and well maintained. Shame that it was so cold that we couldn't enjoy a coffee out there (not complaining!)”

  • “Second stay at this hotel travelling for work, good hotel with great facilities and warm welcome by staff. I asked to change rooms due to a faulty AC unit and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended”
