Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery slow breakfast service so leave plenty of time if you want an early start. It isn't a buffet so you will have to wait to be served a fairly average breakfast. Allow at least 45 minutes.
Friendly welcome when we arrived and help with suitcases. Our room was at the back so fairly quiet. Room adequate for a one night stay. Great location for visiting Chicken Itza.

United StatesBeds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. Only two pillows on the king bed, but we managed to get more for the second night. Dark room and bathroom.
It's 5 minutes away from Chichen Itza, that's very convenient. The restaurant staff was very kind. They offered to get us a private guide. He was really good.

CanadaThe internet connection in the rooms was poor.
The hotel is in short distance from the Archaeological site of Chichen Itza. They offer a good breakfast: pancakes, eggs, fruits etc. The pool is nice and well maintained. At reception we were able to secure us an English speaking guide for next morning for a fair price.

NetherlandsHotel is nice and spacious but needs renovation. There are no nice restaurants in the area, we ended up driving 40 min to Valladolid for dinner. And we actually thought it would have been better if we spend the night in Valladolid than here.
Probably the most decent hotel close to Chichen Itza with a nice swimming pool, probably convenient if you want to be early on the archeological site.

United KingdomIf you are booking in this hotel DO NOT organise a private transfer with Mayaland. They charge $260 and my flight had a slight delay and the transfer left without me and said I was late. Therefore leaving me abandoned in Cancun airport at 7pm, with no coaches left out of Cancun and the only way to get to my hotel was a $350 taxi as it is a 2 hour drive to the hotel. Mayaland have been extremely poor in communicating with me since and are not prepared to give me a refund. It is all a scam DO NOT use Mayaland transfers. Organise it with someone else. Or get an ADO coach to Valladolid as it is only a 35 minute taxi ride from there. (All depends on what time you land) the hotel is self is fine, just do not get a transfer with Mayaland.

FranceAlthough the bathroom was huge, it is not convenient. There should be more space to store things ( toothbrush, soap... Directly by the wash bassin). More hooks to dry towels would be appreciated too. The air conditionning was much too loud. Impossible to skeep while having it on. The key system to the room is also very unstable. Very difficult to enter the room ( and it seems several other guests were having the same issue)
The amazing breakfast and dinner and very kind waiters. The pool and garden were much appreciated.

NetherlandsStaff in the restaurant tries to squeeze as much money from you as possible. I reserved for two rooms including breakfast for 5 people, but at the hotel they stated that breakfast was only included for 3 people (not the case according to my booking confirmation). They also tried to hussle some extra money from us by swapping around an extra order with an item that was included in the continental breakfast. Long story, but it involved some bold faced lying from the waiter. Afterwards, he seemed surprised that I wasn't tipping him. No safe in one of our rooms.
Location is very close to Chichen Itza temple complex and they have an early breakfast so you can start the temple visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds and hotest moments of the day. Receptionist at check-in was friendly. Pool was nice and very quiet.
