“We came to Safaya for our honeymoon and weren't disappointed. The staff were welcoming and the food was exceptional. Though they experience power outages, they run the generator to accommodate for this and mosquito spray the rooms. Our private pool was well maintained and looked directly out on the beach, which is on the quieter side of the island. They helped us arrange transport for us and we're available for any questions or suggestions. Would highly recommend for a private getaway or holiday reset.”
“Very nice room, but on the first floor the view isn't that great. The facilities are very good, but I found it a bit expensive for not being beachfront. Nice rooftop restaurant though. Also keep in mind Kendwa is kind of isolated - there's not all that much to do there other than go to the beach. If you want more action Nungwi might be better. Though I rented a scooter with the help of the staff and was able to go to and from Nungwi without issue. Overall pretty good!”
“Our first trip to Zanzibar & a TUI hotel, excellent week & we didn't want to leave. Mr Hassan, F&B Manager, Mr Celestine & Miss Hawa in particular gave 110% superb service, in fact all the staff were very good & security is good too.
Room was good, WiFi good, restaurants very good.
Definitely recommend this hotel.
Our only negative was the beach which at low tide needs cleaning & it would be good if bird deterrent was used as the birds are persistent if you have a table full of food. I appreciate these aren't easy things to fix.
Thanks again for a wonderful experience”
“Amazing and helpful staff. Speedy check-in. Immaculate pool area. Clean, comfortable rooms. Granted an early check-in and late check-out. Close to the beach and shops.”
“We just came back from the Mora and were very disappointed. We were there previously last June and it was a completely different experience. The services have declined, the food quality is abysmal, there are cut backs everywhere and its such a sad and disappointing experience. For example, there was a music festival the day before we arrived. The whole beach was filthy and took days to clear up before it was usable again. They recycled food items from breakfast into the lunch and dinner. They ran out of foods such as prawns and lobster on the gala night before 7:30. What little food there was, was overcooked and terrible quality.. like random off cuts. Their salad bar had lettuce, yellow cucumbers, and tomato chunks.. that's it. I'm very disappointed. Felt like a giant rip off. Will never be returning. Suggest others do the same.. thanks”
