Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room only had paper coffee cups and plastic cups which were not nice to drink from or use. The lifts were also very well used meaning we had to wait up to 15 minutes to get a lift.
The staff were really friendly and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomThe bathrooms and room furniture look a little tired and the room was a bit small. Also there were only 3 elevators for a very tall building resulting in a wait every time you wanted to go up and down.
Very comfortable bed, daily room service, we were given cookies on arrival.

NetherlandsThe interior of the hotel is a bit outdated. Moreover, soundproofing of the hallway is lacking. Inside the room we weren’t so much bothered by adjacent rooms, but rather the hallway noise. People entering and leaving, even from around the corner on the other side of the building! Moreover, once in the hallway we could quite clearly hear the noises from other people’s rooms, which would add some awkwardness to the significant wait time for the elevator.
The location in Fidi was absolutely wonderful. Not as busy as Midtown with still lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Very near to several subway stations, including the ferries to Staten Island, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The staff is warm, friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe only downside was the lifts - there were 3 lifts for 44 floors so it could take quite some time to go up and down. It's not too bad if you're on holiday - just good to know.
The hotel was great: the room was quite big and the bed very comfortable. Both the bathroom and room were very clean and got cleaned every day. I had a great view as I was on the 42nd floor. Staff were professional and friendly.

United StatesThe door slaming, it's so startling. Especially if ur in a deep sleep. The one next to me shook my whole wall when it slammed shut. I never got a free cookie when I checked in. The lobby is small. With schools visiting, they would take over the whole area. Location wasn't exciting, rather stay midtown.
It was a pretty comfortable room for the size. I loved having the fridge drawer. The staff was super nice. Elevators were fast for occupancy and floor numbers.

United KingdomThe elevators were possessed!! (Going up and down without stopping at the floor you requested...a nightmare). We couldn't get in the lobby on the day of check in as the elevators would not stop there. Also, in principle, I don't have an issue with a deposit being charged, however, in this day and age, it shouldn't take up to 15 working days to receive a refund.
Very good location, the staff was friendly and the rooms as you would expect for a Doubletree Hilton

United Kingdom1) 150.00 hold for incidentals is absurdly high and, after 4 days, it has yet to be returned to my account. 2) My room was across from a towel closet and a staff member was assigned to work 3rd shift, so I didn't sleep the first night because they repeatedly opened and closed the closet. 1.5 elevators worked during the 3.5 days I stayed at the hotel. One of the many times I tried to use it required a 20min wait then squishing myself in with 7 other people desperate to get off their floors.

United StatesThe elevators are a serious nightmare! 40+ floors. 3 elevators for that sounds efficient. Not so much. One of them seemed dedicated to the staff which left most times only two for guests. Then those two were constantly full or taking, no joke, 18 minutes to get from the 20th floor…opted for the stairs a few times which did not make this a leisure vacation.
The location and cleanliness were great. Good menu if you want to order from the restaurant. Super nice staff. Most of them at least.
