Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere is no hotel restaurant. Avoid the attached "Socialite Crafthouse" eatery. Terrible pizza/food and they don't know how to make an Irish Coffee.
Great location. Casual hotel. Friendly staff. Good for a family stay. Basic amenities, not luxurious but a reasonable place to stay while being a tourist in San Francisco.

United StatesFire alarm going off at 3:30 am for 20 minutes was aweful. Thankfully it was a false alarm but losing a night of sleep was not awesome.
Location and amenities. Traveling with 3 teenagers, the game room was a hit!

IrelandWould have liked more communication from the staff or information in the room on things such as checkout time, fitness facilities and food options available nearby. Also there is certainly space in the gym to have a barbell and also there was no sanitising spray or wipes available.
Loved the decor - really modern and great theme for Fisherman's Wharf. Fantastic communal areas including games room and outside seating area with complementary smores! Good setup in the room for working space and entertainment. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

BulgariaThe hotel is right at Fishermen's Wharf and has a lot of good places for a walk and seeing attractions like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alkatraz. There is plenty to do around and would visit again.

United StatesThe smell of weed in the hallways and our room. AC was very dirty and we had to call maintenance as the air was not getting cold.
Love that’s in a central location to everything and that there are plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance

GermanyOn the down side, I'm not a fan of carpets in general.
The location is fantastic, just a short distance from Fisherman's Wharf and also colse to Lombard Street. Our room had a rather new microwave, which is incredibly convenient. The large yard features 3 fire pits surrounded by charis, making it a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. I also appreciated the self-service tea and coffee machine conveniently located near the reception area. Additionally, there are several charming and unique seating areas, both indoors and outdoors, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment.

United StatesSlow elevator (not a major issue just a little irritating), and the incredibly overpriced parking. We parked nearby (a secure 24 hour lot) for a lot less.
Great location for a "tourist day", and easy to get around the wharf area. Clean room and modern feeling, with easy/friendly check in.

United KingdomQuite noisy at night and one night there seemed to be an "incident" which involved a security guard (although it didn't affect us directly, it did wake us up); homeless person sleeping in the access door to the car park
Nice quirky decor; large room; good location in a safe neighbourhood; easy to find; very accessible by public transport; nice restaurants very close by; GREAT coffee from the in-room machine; great outdoor area around a camp fire -although we couldn't use it as it was raising the whole time we were there :-(

United KingdomThe toilet in my room was inconsistent and only worked intermittently throughout my stay, which was really frustrating. While staff began addressing the issue on day 3, it was disappointing that it took so long for the problem to be taken seriously. This was the only downside of my experience, but unfortunately, it was a significant inconvenience.
The nice little touches really stood out, such as offering s’mores around the firepits, accommodating requests to turn the firepit on early, providing a bottle opener, and being consistently helpful throughout.

LuxembourgNot all electrical sockets worked next to bed. Coffee/tea are not available in the evening. And only 1 coffee creamer (classic, without any taste) was available unlike in other hotels. Parking is quite pricy - you can get much cheaper nearby.
Location is wonderfull - walking distance from Pier 39 and all surrounding must-see-places. Next to reception sits Tatiana providing tickets and info about good restaurants and attractions - highly recommend to talk to her (she gave us promo vouchers to different restaurants and helped with the taxi). Overall personnel was helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, spacious and pretty comfortable. Wonderfull lobby and common zone.

United StatesHmm, maybe just the dispenser for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They’re placed a little bit high in my opinion. I suggest to put it lower to make it easier to press.
