Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the bathroom was not clean upon arrival & the 3 muffins i got in the morning were molded

The A/C is rigged in the room. I’m not sure about the heat. That’s my only complaint. They need updated, the carpet and building need repaired.
I like the property and keep choosing it not realizing it’s the same place. I like it but it does need updated and the A/C fixed.

Though breakfast was good, the area was way too small. Not sure why they moved it from the other building where it had more room.

Breakfast looked great but was not hot, some of the potatoes were cold. Second day lady asked us how things were while we were eating and I told her it wasn't hot. She said she would stir things up. Third morning I only got sausage and it was cold to touch. My husband only ate half sausage because it was tough (he usually eats anything). When checking out, I was not asked how my stay was so I didn't complain.

If you get back after dark, there is NO PARKING AVAILABLE. You have to park up the hill next to an abandoned hotel. We have stayed here several times (and will again), but if you are out after dark it is likely that you will not be able to park on the property.
The room was clean and looks like it has been updated recently. The staff was friendly. This was our first time staying here since it became AmericInn by Wyndham, and it looks like they have updated the rooms a bit.

I think the AC in our room was messed up. It would run for a little bit then shut off and never really felt cool. The pool was almost too cold to swim in for being adversed as a heated pool.
The rooms were nice, the breakfast was good, and the staff were all friendly! Location and view were great too!

I really didn’t like that there was no air vent too turned on in the restroom in the rooms. If you shower it was too hot and if you poop it stinks up the room and you could smell it.

The pool ... !! We went to check it out and as soon as we opened the door to enter, the smell could have knocked you out. The pool is the only thing bad about this place.
The room was good and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and offered cookies and ice cream in the evening. Close to everything.
