We felt very comfortable in this hotel from the very first second! The (4-bed-) room was very large and everything was super clean. The breakfast consisted of a good buffet and everything else could be ordered so that it was freshly prepared. It was very tasty! We did a round trip on the Wild Atlantic Way and stayed in 6 different hotels - this one was by far the nicest (and is therefore the only one I rate)! Kenmare is a small, beautiful, typically Irish town. The hotel is located in a street with several restaurants, but it was still quiet.
Great place to stay on our wild Atlantic way drive. We had dinner and drinks in the hotel which was lovely. It was an enjoyable evening and very busy so great atmosphere with live music later on. Breakfast the following morning was great. Also nice walk along the beach. Petrol station next door to fill car up and get snacks for our drive the next day was helpful. If you are looking for an Inn to stopover on your travels, eat nice food and have some drinks then definitely recommend this place. All of the staff were super friendly too!
The Loft is right in the center of town, but I could only tell from the amount of people in the ground floor pub. The hotel above was very quiet and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been kinder, helping find shelter for the bicycle I was riding along the Wild Atlantic Way. The trad breakfast in the pub was terrific. One thing to note is that there are many stairs to get to the rooms, so take caution if you have ambulatory difficulty. If you are staying in or passing through Ballina, stay here; I would again.
Miltown Malbay
Fabulous apartment that gives you such freedom to explore the West Coast. Great base with the town only a short drive away. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated with lovely touches and attention to detail. We felt that we had our own privacy at all times. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you're looking for a central location in Clare, that's modern and easily accessible to lots of other amazing destinations of the Wild Atlantic Way. We can't wait to return. Thanks for everything 🙏
The Hylands Burren Hotel was very comfortable, fresh and clean, quiet, lovely friendly helpful staff, and the little touches were gorgeous.. handwritten note in my room and a box of chocs! Had a fabulous stay and would stay here again. It was a great location for exploring both the Burren and the Wild Atlantic Way. We climbed Mullaghmore during our stay and it was perfect for that! The bar food was great and there was also live music in the bar on the night we stayed, which was really nice.
The hotel has lots of little nooks that you can slip into. At one stage people started signing in the bar and it was nice to be able to go elsewhere so that we could chat without us disturbing them and them disturbing us. The location was remote which suited us perfectly. There were some great locations close by for walking and eating but you needed a car to get to them - we did not eat in the hotel as we wanted to check out food in various locations on the Wild Atlantic Way.
What a fabulous hotel!!!! The place is absolutely gorgeous with a lovely, friendly atmosphere. It's exceptionally clean and tidy and modern. The staff is just wonderful especially Jason. The food is excellent and the breakfast is simply devine!! You wouldnt leave hungry!!! Its beside all shops amd amenities and you have a fabuloys view of the sea. I cannot find one fault with this hotel!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on the wild Atlantic way!!!
Really nice hotel - lovely room with a view of the sea - comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. The hotel has a relaxed "country house" feel with a great bar and friendly staff. We had a cocktail and then a lovely dinner, with great food, wine and service. Breakfast next morning was excellent - my only very small issue was the coffee could have been better. We stayed one night, as part of a few days driving the Wild Atlantic Way - highly recommended.
Killarney
We believe Harmony Inn-Glena House to be a great find in Killarney Town. We were traveling entirely by public transport and the hotel was close enough to the city center that we could easily walk anywhere we wanted. Two of the days, we made the short walk to Wild Atlantic Way tours to see Dingle and the Ring of Kerry. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and generous.
Clifden
Breakfast was delicious, room was big and bed was comfy. Location was perfect, very central. I stayed here the night before beginning a 3 day 450KM cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way for Laura Lynn, Ireland's only children's hospice. The staff were so kind and even donated (https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/DonateMSWAW) to the cause when I told them why I was there. Wonderful people!
Great stay in beautifully appointed apartment situated right on the Wild Atlantic Way. Gerald and Noelle could not have made us more welcome and were happy for us to park our motorcycles in the attached garage during our stay. Lots of helpful info to make our stay more enjoyable. Ovie the dog is a delight, what a bundle of fun and friendliness. Very highly recommended.
The room we had was furnished beautifully and the receptionist was very welcoming and good humoured on our arrival. Later that evening the meal was superb and the bar staff and others were so friendly we spent the evening there. Breakfast was great as were the staff serving it. All in all a wonderful experience as we travelled the wild Atlantic way.
We were driving the "Wild Atlantic Way" and Bunratty was chosen because it's between Galway and Dingle. Bunratty Manor Hotel was a real surprise. It's tastefully appointed with generous, comfortable rooms. The staff are lovely and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend a stay here. It's a gem!
Newport
Amazing host Erica and chef John - breakfast food above and beyond any hotel fare , rooms warm and homely . Already recommended to family and friends to put on their go to list - beautiful residence to use as base to travel back and forth across wild atlantic way . Westport 10 mins drive and Achill 20mins drive other way |
Doolin
This stay was beautifully clean, with the room tidied on a daily basis. Breakfast provided the perfect sustenance for a morning of exploring Ireland’s wild Atlantic way. The Piper’s Rest is situated wonderfully, just steps away from both fine dining and pub food—and the best pub in Doolin for music (McDermott’s)!
Everything, this Hotel is literally as good as it gets, everybody who stays here, raves about it, every aspect of the offer, from the magnificent food, to the accomodation, to the staff, the views and as a hub for exploring the glory of the Wild Atlantic way, the Leenane Hotel has it all!
Ballyliffin
Clara and German were the perfect hosts.Lovely B and B, delicious breakfast in morning (Spanish omelette and tomato bread plus full Irish) all organic including the cute toiletries in the bathroom.Highly recommend, Beautiful part of Ireland and on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Bunratty
Ideal location for a couple of nights whilst travelling up the west coast/Wild Atlantic Way. The friendliness, helpfulness and local knowledge of our host Joe have been unsurpassed in any of our accommodation choices throughout the southern part of Ireland
It is walking distance to the centre of Bantry, and a good location for the local music festivals. Also within easy reach of interesting scenic sites along the wild Atlantic Way. Efficient and friendly staff especially at breakfast.
Really nice hotel in Dingle, with comfortable room/bed and a nice bathroom. Nice breakfast with great coffee and excellent service. We stayed one night on a few days driving the Wild Atlantic Way - highly recommended.
